Dear School Community,

The Starbuck School Leadership Club is excited to announce our upcoming donation drive in support of Siloam Mission. From June 1st to June 5th, we are collecting items to bring with us when we visit and volunteer there during our field trip in June.

Please see the schedule below for the items we are collecting. If you are doing some spring cleaning over the next few weeks, please consider donating some of these items:

Please drop off your donations in the school lobby that week.

At Starbuck School & Hockey Academy, we're committed to the safety of our students. To make absence reporting easier for you and more efficient for our staff, we've launched SafeArrival, a user-friendly absence reporting system.

Stay Informed with Text Alerts! You can now receive absence notifications directly to your phone via text message. Opt-in by using the instructions in this PDF:SMSTextOpRRVSD.pdf

Report Absences Your Way with SafeArrival:

• Mobile App Convenience: Download the SchoolMessenger app (Apple App Store, Google Play Store -https://go.schoolmessenger.ca/#/account/login Sign up once, then easily report absences under "Attendance."
• Website Access: Report via the web at-  https://go.schoolmessenger.ca/#/account/login Sign up initially, then navigate to "Attendance" to report an absence.
• Quick Phone Reporting: Call our dedicated toll-free line: 1-833-225-4633 (available 24/7).

How We'll Keep You Informed: If your child is absent and you haven't reported it through SafeArrival, our automated SchoolMessenger Communicate system will attempt to contact you through various methods until we receive a reason. Office staff will follow up if necessary.

Report Once, Know You're Covered: By using SafeArrival to report absences in advance, you will not receive automated notifications.

Moving Forward: Please use SafeArrival for all future absences instead of sending notes or contacting the school directly. This helps us ensure accurate attendance records and focus our efforts.

Other Schools: If you have children at other schools, please continue to follow their established absence reporting procedures.
