Starbuck Hockey Academy is an exciting opportunity for boys and girls in grades five to eight. The program provides students the opportunity to attend a school where strong leadership skills, integrity, sound character and hard work ethic are instilled in our youth. The focus of the program is to engage the students in their academic learning through their enthusiasm for the game of hockey and other athletic activities.
Located 12 minutes west of Winnipeg on Highway #2, Starbuck Hockey Academy offers students professional hockey school instruction between late September and March. This is possible through a partnership between the Red River Valley School Division, Starbuck Recreation Board, Hockey Canada and the Starbuck Hockey Academy Parents Committee, Inc.
Transportation is often available but not guaranteed. Priority is given to Starbuck School Students, and then to Divisional (RRVSD) students. Special consideration is also afforded to siblings of former students, and we strive for gender equality. These priorities remain in effect until the academy is at an acceptable student number.
Fees for the 2025-2026 school year are still to be determined. Last years fees were set at $1750 per student which covers the cost involved in operating the on-ice component of the program including ice rental and professional hockey instruction.
